The UNIT registration package is being mailed out for this event IN TODAYS MAIL 15 JULY 2010

The event has reached its maximum quota for Axis forces and vehicles but last I heard there is still room for some GI but it is filling up

I have been reading the updates posted on the WW2 reenactors forum
BRIDGE AT REMAGEN EVENT  AUGUST 6-9, 2011
regarding progress of the event by its organizers and it sounds great.

Street fighting in town, 500 acres of forest and an old rock quarry, plus a 550 foot steel deck bridge across the Allegheny river

The town will have German civilian reenactors as well, and there are professional grade pyrotechnics
to liven things up.

The event website is Remagen
After Action Report
The Annual Christmas Party for this year was held at the Thayer Hotel at West Point.  There was plenty of spirits, music and good times.   Many of those who attended stayed overnight in very comfortable rooms and enjoyed an excellent Sunday morning brunch.   Thank you to everyone. You helped made this event a great success.
Neighbor to the North's Incrediable Museum
I recently retuned from a trip to one of the most incredible collections of military history I have ever seen.  This museum was in one of the more unsuspecting places one would think, Ottawa, Canada.  It is called the Canadian War Museum.  This museum has an incredible collection of WWII era items among a massive collection from all time periods.  One of the most interesting items on display is Hitler's Mercedes.  The museum also features a large indoor display of vehicles which are all restored.  Ottawa would make a nice weekend trip and for those interested in aviation the Canadian Aviation and Space Museum is just five minutes down the road.  Its collection includes several rare WWII German jet aircraft, the He 162 and the Me 163, among many other amazing displays.  The websites are:  War Museum Air and Space
FIG Jan 25th-30th
Hopefully everyone has sent in their registrations for FIG this year.  It should be a good time for all.  This year we will be fighting in a new area, one none of us have ever seen.  This should make the tactical a bit more interesting.  For more information about the event see:

Rangers Welcome New Members
This year has seen a large group of replacements into the ranks of the Rangers.  We welcome to the hobby and hope they enjoy their time here.  To the new members, please feel free to contact anyone in the unit with any questions you may have.  When first entering the hobby it can be a bit overwhelming to make sure you purchase the right gear, uniforms etc.
